Victoria Byrne

In 2013 Victoria completed a Juris Doctor at the University of Melbourne. Prior to being admitted as a lawyer Victoria volunteered her time at a community legal centre where she provided advice with respect to social security entitlements.

Victoria was previously an Associate to a Judge of the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia for several years working solely within the Family Law jurisdiction. She completed her Practical Legal Training at College of the Law and was admitted to practice in late 2018.

In 2020, Victoria along with the other lawyers of Ebejer & Associates volunteered for the Women’s Legal Service Victoria Telephone Advice Line providing free legal advice to women all across Victoria experiencing disadvantage as a result of relationship breakdown or violence.

Victoria brings a detailed knowledge of the family law court system and an excellent understanding of a wide range of family law litigation from interim hearings to final hearings.

Victoria represents clients at the Magistrates’ Court of Victoria and the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia. She also is available to appear in parenting and/or property mediations.

Her areas of practice include:

  • Family Law property and children’s matters, jurisdictional arguments including de facto jurisdiction;
  • Binding Financial Agreements;
  • Divorce; and
  • Intervention Orders.
