Family Violence Intervention Orders and Personal Protection Orders
Intervention Orders are orders which restrain another person from doing various things such as approaching someone, posting about them on the internet, damaging their property, or committing family violence.
If there is a family relationship, a Family Violence Intervention Order will apply. These can include conditions allowing persons to still spend time with children or communicate about child arrangements.
If there is no family relationship, a Personal Protection Order will apply. There can be costs associated with this type of Order.
Our lawyers represent both applicants and defendants in both types of Intervention Order proceedings, at both the Magistrates Court Level and on appeal to the County Court of Victoria. We also can provide advice and negotiations at all stages of Intervention Order proceedings.
With our knowledge of Family Law Matters, we can advise you how your Intervention Order can co-exist with or impact on your parenting arrangements.
