Intervention Orders

Family Violence Intervention Orders and Personal Protection Orders

Intervention Orders are orders which restrain another person from doing various things such as approaching someone, posting about them on the internet, damaging their property, or committing family violence.

If there is a family relationship, a Family Violence Intervention Order will apply. These can include conditions allowing persons to still spend time with children or communicate about child arrangements.

If there is no family relationship, a Personal Protection Order will apply. There can be costs associated with this type of Order.

Our lawyers represent both applicants and defendants in both types of Intervention Order proceedings, at both the Magistrates Court Level and on appeal to the County Court of Victoria. We also can provide advice and negotiations at all stages of Intervention Order proceedings.

With our knowledge of Family Law Matters, we can advise you how your Intervention Order can co-exist with or impact on your parenting arrangements.

I’ve been a client of Ebejer & Associates since 2007, and have used them for all of my legal needs. Marlene and her team are responsive, informative and immensely helpful and supportive. I’ve always felt that my interests have been 100% supported, and there have certainly been occasions where the team has gone above and beyond for me. I cannot recommend Ebejer & Associates highly enough.

Shannyn

I really appreciate Marlene and her team for all their support and I highly recommended Ebejer & Associates to anyone for their hard work and taking care of clients. Thank-you.

Marlene was recommended to me by a friend and thank God she did. Couldn’t have chosen a better person for the job. At a time when I felt my life was spiraling out of control, Marlene’s knowledge, dedication and positive attitude turned one of the worst experiences in my life into a bright future for myself and children with better than expected results. Her professional, friendly manner made dealing with such a deeply emotional issue just that little bit easy, and I would often walk out of her office with a smile. I cannot thank her enough. I would have no hesitation in highly recommending Marlene Ebejer to represent you as your legal representative.
